The new top 50 confirm the priority for innovation, variation and performance. The Lily League® of 2025 shows many newcomers, mainly in the double flowering segment, but also strong and stable varieties in the single flowering group. The list translates the power of professional breeding, developments in the market and preferences from both growers and consumers worldwide.

These names are already familiar in the market. They have already proven their potential and were also ranked high in the Lily League(R) of 2024. The highest newcomer is Lucky Amor. This shows that there is still a lot of interest for innovations within the group of double flowered lilies.
High development in double flowering and pollenfree lilies
From the results of the survey, it appears that double flowering lilies remain very popular and are increasingly represented in the Lily League®; 30% of the lilies are double flowering, and increase of 15% compared to last year. This shows that the market is not only open for innovation, but also improvement. These types are also targeted by the professional lily breeders, which benefits the quality and diversity of the lily in general.
The market continues to increase the standards. Older varieties are being replaced based on performance, vaselife, flower shape and tradability. No less than 14 new varieties entered the Lily League® top 50. Onings will therefore intensify their commitment to strengthen the market with better breeds.
Besides many innovations there is also a desire for stability in the market. With mostly the single flowering lilies, such as Tabledance, Siberia and Sorbonne keep their presence in the Lily League top 50. It shows that some varieties are both timeless and can still keep up with modern standards. But with Liber Love (pollen free) and Mundial, it shows that there is space for innovation also in the single flowering lily segment.
