Onings New Zealand update📯
John Balvert and Hans Glorie were off to New Zealand last month to visit the nursery in Rakaia. The goals of the trip: to check the crops, meet the team, and prepare for the coming harvest that will take place in 4 months.
This is a key moment in the season. The growth of the bulbs is in full progress. Therefore the conditions on, and in the fields are crucial. John: "Our first impression was positive. The crops are healthy and developing well."
But the trip was not just about checking the fields. It was also about getting more acquainted with the team, reviewing processes, and building trust. "It still feels like a transitional phase – and that's understandable," says Hans. "What matters is that the core of the company is strong."
With this step, we are expanding our year-round lily production and further strengthening our international position.
