The result is the Lily League® 2026: an up-to-date overview of the world’s 50 most popular lilies.
The Lily League is more than just a ranking. The results show which varieties are valued worldwide, and which developments are visible in the market. By sharing these insights, we help our customers make decisions about their range and sales.
Top 5 Lily League® 2026
The new number one is Lucky Queen. This pink lily variety was voted for in huge numbers and we understand why! Even from small bulbs you can get stems with multiple flowers that all open beautifully in the vase. A stunning double-flowered lily, pollen-free, which will be available from Onings soon.
Double-flowered lilies remain the trend
In the Lily League 2026 too, we see that demand for double-flowered lilies continues to grow. These varieties stand out for their abundant blooms, luxurious appearance and excellent presentation. This means they align well with the wishes of both florists and consumers.
A welcome added benefit is that many of these modern double-flowered varieties are pollen-free. Our top 5 already includes 3 pollen-free varieties: Lucky Queen (1), Vendome (3) and Lucky One (5). The Liber series, including Liber Lady (13) and Liber Snow (50), also shows that demand for pollen-free lilies continues to rise.
Thanks to the acquisition of Van Zanten’s lily activities, we now offer a wider range of Lucky and Liber varieties. As a result, we are able to supply these popular varieties in increasing volumes.
