Onings Spinning marathon collects € 7.200 for charity

Leading up to ‘De Westlandse Ride van 2024’ on the 25th and 26th May, Team Onings organised a spinning marathon. This took place on the 29th March in the warehouse of Onings Holland Flowerbulbs. All donations resulted into a wonderful amount of € 7.200.

The warehouse of Onings was transformed into a spinning palace. Participants were asked to pay € 20 for one hour of spinning. A few enthusiastic cyclers completed the full 3-hours. After the spinning challenge, all cyclers could get their humidity level back to standard in the kantine. The money for the drinks also directly contributed to the total amount that was raised that day.

The team of Onings Holland Flowerbulbs also helped to increase the amount by spinning together with colleagues and a few family members in the afternoon prior to the spinning marathon. Thanks to this initiative, the interim score was set at € 2.450 before the spinning marathon started.

The collected donation will be added to the cheque that Team Onings will hand over during the next ‘Westlandse Ride’, where they will participate again with 16 cyclers. ‘De Westlandse Ride’ is a 24-hour relay race in which participants will cycle 6 times 30 kilometers through the area of Westland. Team Onings already collected money for this purpose through a local flower bulb market. The total amount collected will be announced in May during ‘De Westlandse Ride’.
